Our Story

Founded in 1994 in the city of Shkodra, for more than 3 decades, SMO UNION shpk has continuously been active in the field of civil constructions (residential, commercial, industrial buildings, and institutional offices), road construction works (main and secondary interurban roads, rural roads, highways including their maintenance), and other public infrastructure (river embankment protection, water supply and sewerage systems, etc.).
The construction works carried out have been diverse and in most cases of a considerable degree of difficulty in terms of construction challenges and engineering complexities. In all cases, having the support of a qualified staff of engineers, technicians, financiers, and all the essential links that make up a construction company, SMO Union shpk has provided the best solutions for every aspect.

Currently, and throughout the years, SMO UNION shpk has employed over 70 full-time experienced personnel (managers, engineering-technical personnel, operators of technological tools) who have played an important role in the company’s progressive growth. We also engage temporary staff as required by project demands.
SMO UNION shpk owns significant technical and technological resources, including over 100 heavy construction tools and machines, 3 production plants (concrete, asphalt, and inert), as well as other auxiliary technological equipment. Over the years, we have established strong partnerships with private entities, public institutions, and various contracting authorities, such as the Albanian Development Fund, the Albanian Road Authority, the Albanian Electric Corporation, and numerous municipalities.
